Bourne End Week Sailing Entries
UTSC's annual regatta - river racing at its best. This year features the Merlin Rocket River Championships, International OK River Championships and Thames A Rater National Championships.
The dinghy championship events cover three days from Saturday to Monday. There will also be the well-supported Handicap fleet. The Thames A Rater Nationals run for four days from Friday with the Queen's Cup on Sunday.
UTSC is an excellent location on a wide and long reach of the upper Thames, with easy launching from the clubhouse lawn. The club looks forward to welcoming visitors to this classic river regatta. There are beautiful trophies to be won by testing your river sailing skills, roll tacking and tactics against fellow competitors and the stream on the river and shifting breezes.
The start is directly in front of the clubhouse, so the lawn is the perfect vantage point for spectators, with the Thames Path running through the grounds and alongside the river upstream to follow the races. The frontage was rebuilt a few years ago now and circuit sailors will appreciate the three slipways, pontoons and the paved 'beach' area together with our new, enlarged balcony completed in 2022.
Bourne End Week has a tradition of great hospitality and the location with the historic clubhouse, the marquee on the lawn, and midsummer sunsets provide the ideal setting.
The House team have planned an exciting social calendar, with the traditional cocktail party, dinner and dancing to live music on Sunday evening.
Camping will be available in the normal camping field. Cars/campervans or caravans will be allowed in the car park.
On-line booking for camping, sailing and social events is now available here.
