Notice is hereby given of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Upper Thames Sailing Club (“the Club”) to be held on Sunday, 3rd November 2024 at 4.00 pm in the Clubhouse.

The Commodore and Officers of the Club cordially invite you to attend the meeting. Your attendance is encouraged as it is your opportunity to hear about the work of the Officers and Committees of the Club, to ask questions and to provide comments.

RYA Training

An RYA-accredited Training Centre, UTSC offers training to all, from complete beginners to those would like to improve their existing sailing skills.

Bourne End Week

The club’s main open regatta is Bourne End Week (BEW) which was first run in 1887 and has been a regular event since then. Major national sailing events are held during this week.

Bourne End Week is typically held during the late May Bank Holiday weekend. In 2024 it is a 4-day event from Friday 24 to Monday 27 May.

Sailing

UTSC is located on one of the best sailing reaches on the River Thames, with a mile-long stretch between Bourne End and islands below Marlow Lock, incorporating the widest part of the non-tidal river.

The season runs from March to December, with racing on Wednesday evenings and Sundays.

You don’t have to be a racer – UTSC encourages members and their families to enjoy fun sailing on this safe and picturesque part of the river.

Members are able to book out club boats for their own use. The club fleet includes Wayfarers, OKs, Fevas, Toppers and Optimists.
