Appreciation for a Successful Open Day
Published 10:55 on 12 Jun 2024
Thank you to everyone who supported the open day today, whether by sharing details of the event with others or contributing to its delivery on land or water.
The day started a little grey, with even some rain during the briefing at 10:30 in the morning, but there was wind all day, and it ended with glorious sunshine.
Visitors were taken out on the water, and there were discussions about membership and training. They were also fed, and a successful tea and cake sale was held in aid of The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.
Everyone, both members and visitors, seemed to have a good day, and appreciation goes out to everyone at the club for the role they played. Watching the cadets sail was a source of great pride, and it was wonderful to see how they inspired other families to consider joining the Club.
So thank you for whatever role you playedwhether it was taking people for their first sail, greeting them at the club, providing information and directions, serving them a drink, or ensuring the safety measures were in place for the day to proceed smoothly. The club was shown at its best.
