Dear Members,

The Opening up of UTSC

At the recent General Committee, we had the opportunity to discuss the Government Roadmap, that was released on the 22 February 2021, which should lead us out of the COVID-19 restrictions. This Roadmap is in 4 Steps.

Step 1 - Starts 8 March 2021

Step 2 - Starts 12 April 2021

Step 3 - Starts 12 May 2021

Step 4 - Starts 21 June 2021

Obviously, there are the usual caveats and potential slippages in the timeline to these dates.

Significant restrictions remain in place over the next few months for large gatherings and hospitality the Committe have decided the following.

The Open Day has been postponed. A new date will be arranged.

JBEW has been moved to 23-25 July

BEW has been moved to 28-31 August

Step 1 - A change takes place within this period which allows for outdoor sports venues to open from the 29 March 2021 and the Committee has agreed to the following.

29 March - Informal sailing will resume

3 April - A return to the 2021 Sailing Programme will commence

7 April - Wednesday evening racing will commence

Training and Coaching Sessions are currently being reviewed and further information regarding these will be circulated soon.

During Step 1 a significant number of restrictions are still imposed, so further information regarding the safe use of the club, current Risk Assessments and lawful requirements will be sent to you shortly.

As always, the General Committee will keep you updated with all the changes that are taking place over the following few months.
